Focus Award Level 2 Diploma in Care

This Level 2 diploma course is designed for learners newly working or hope to work within social care settings. This course is for beginnners who wish to empower and equip themselves with the knowledge needed to be effective within their work role and becoming competent in carrying and supporting individuals. It covers all of the core knowledge and competencies such as health and safety, moving and handling, safeguarding, handling information, equality diversity and inclusion and more. It assists in developing the knowledge, skills and expected behaviours needed to work effectively as an adult care worker – addressing a number of key general areas as well as the option to specialise in several areas such as mental health, dementia care, individuals with disabilities, learning difficulties and autism, moving and handling, individuals with communication needs, individuals living at home etc. Learners undertaking this course will be able to develop key competencies to make them employable, ready to access higher education or take on more responsibility in their workplace within the adult care sector.

This Level 3 diploma course is designed for learners working in adult social care settings who are preparing for roles with greater responsibility. It assists in developing the knowledge, skills and expected behaviours needed to work effectively as an adult care worker – addressing a number of key general areas as well as the option to specialise in several areas such as mental health, dementia care, individuals with disabilities, learning difficulties and autism, moving and handling, individuals with communication needs, individuals living at home etc. Learners undertaking this course will be able to develop key competencies to make them employable, ready to access higher education or take on more responsibility in their workplace within the adult care sector.

Focus Award Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care or Children and Young People's Services (England)

This Level 5 diploma course is designed for learners working in adult social care settings or in a children or young people’s services who already poses management responsibilities in their role. Through this course, learners will be able to develop the skills, knowledge and understanding of the standards required to be certified as competent in a role to practice, manage and lead others in adult social care settings or in a children or young people’s services. Undertaking this course helps healthcare professionals move up in your careers, giving you leadership skills required to thrive in these roles.
This is a valuable course as it covers important parts such as: leadership, management, special care methods. There is also room to specialise into different pathways such as Residential Management, Adults’ Residential, Adults’ Management and more.

Level 2 Functional Skills Qualification in English

This Level 2/GCSE equivalent qualification is designed for learners to develop and strengthen practical English skills needed for everyday life, work, and further education. This course equips learners with the ability to communicate confidently and effectively in both written and spoken forms. The key areas of focus are reading, writing, speaking and listening. Often taken in conjunction with other Level 2 or Level 3 courses.

Level 2 Functional Skills Qualification in Mathematics

This Level 2/GCSE equivalent qualification is designed for learners to develop essential mathematical knowledge and problem-solving skills needed for everyday life, education, and the workplace. This course provides learners with practical understanding and confidence in applying mathematics to real-world situations. The key areas covered are number systems, measures, shapes and space and handling information and data. Often taken in conjunction with other Level 2 or Level 3 courses.
